Australian Data Centres – Opened December 1, 2013
The fit out and commissioning of ADC’s Mitchell data centre has concluded and the
site is now live.
ADC has designed its data centre around central plant, including DRUPS (Diesel Rotary
UPS) a highly sophisticated cooling system and raised floor. ADC uses cold aisle
containment and can accommodate from 3kw requirements up to 20kw. ADC provides a
DCIM, (Data Centre information Management System) reporting down to the rack or
suite as well as reporting over the whole facility.
The site will be formally accredited against the Uptime Institute and has been built
to ASIO T4 specifications.
ADC is a privately owned Australian company, and has used local organisations such
as Construction Control, Shepherd Electrical, Benmax and Rudd’s Consulting for the
design, fit out and commissioning.
The site is the only privately owned High Voltage site in Canberra, and is connected
to multiple carriers as well as being ICON ready.
ADC is on the Federal Government Data Centre Panel for this site and adjacent Greenfields
